Eric Toledano & Olivier Nakache

French Born Sephardic Writers, directors and childhood friends, Eric Toledano (Morroco) and Olivier Nakache (Algeria) have worked as a team from their very first steps in cinema in the mid-90s, and have established themselves as two of the leading lights of French comic cinema, with a string of critical and popular successes to their credit. The duo is widely known and celebrated for The Intouchables (2011) a heartwarming character-driven story, which went on to become one of France’s most successful films of all time. The film is the perfect example of what they do best, approach complex issues with relatable humor, and use dynamic storytelling and dialogue to create characters one never tires of watching. They were nominated for a BAFTA Award as Best Film not in English Language and 3 Cesar Awards for writing, directing and producing The Intouchables. Also known for C’est la vie! (2017) and Samba (2014).
