Although it’s a slim shot, Pepe believes in presenting the public with an alternative. Michael, his son and the movie’s director joins him and together they embark on a Don Quixote Sancho Panza battle against the powerful windmills of the most complicated city in the whole world—Jerusalem.
Michael Alalu
Michael Alalu was born in Jerusalem in 1981. He served in the IDF as a Captain Officer in an elite unit after which he went to study cinema at Sam Spiegel Film School. During his studies, he directed short films which were screened and awarded internationally. He directed music video “Learn to Live” for singer Danni Sanderson which won Best Music video of Israel 2010 award. Since he finished (2013) he directed two short films — Thorn, a short film for the Israeli channel Yes Drama and Love Letter to Cinema which was written by Assi Dayan. Pepe’s Last Battle for Channel 8 Israel is his first feature documentary film.
